Resource Advocates

The Council on Aging's Resource Advocates assist seniors and their families by providing information and helping to line-up services and programs which allow senior citizens to maintain their independence.  Resource Advocates assess the seniors needs and help to meet those needs through a variety of community resources.

If the seniors' needs include home cleaning, transportation, home repairs, adult day care, senior meals, a friendly visitor/caller or other programs and services provided by the Council on Aging, the Resource Advocate can arrange service for them.  If the Council on Aging does not offer the service the senior needs, the Resource Advocate can provide information and help make arrangements with other agencies and/or businesses in St. Clair County to assist the senior.
