Homestead Taxes
When tax time rolls around, AARP-trained volunteers are available beginning in mid-January to prepare your yearly Property Tax Credit, Home Heating Credit and Prescription Drug Credit at the area senior centers.
The following information must be presented by you to the tax preparer in order for them to complete your rebate forms. If these papers are not available, we will not be able to assist you. Please be sure to have all of this information with you to avoid having to return at a later date:
| Homeowners Property Tax Statements for year filing or Rent Receipts for year filing |
| Statements of any income received, including: |
| Social Security |
| Pension Benefits |
| All Interest and Dividends |
| ADC and GA Benefits |
| Wages or Self-Employment Income |
| Your Heating cost for the 12-month period from November 1 to October 31 |
| Prescription drug receipts for year filing |
| Medical and/or Health Insurance Premiums for the year filing |
| YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD |
