Mission Moments

The Mission Statement of the Council on Aging, Inc. is as follows:

"To coordinate programs that promote and safeguard the independence and well-being of the senior citizens of St. Clair County".

On this page, we will share some stories of how our members and staff make the Agency Mission a reality. There is so much that so many of you do to make a difference. We will highlight some of these accounts here.

Sometimes our members do great things to add joy to their fellow members lives. We recently had a couple make reservations for one of our multi-day excursions to Chicago. Events came up where they were unable to make the trip. This couple, who chose to remain anonymous, could have been reimbursed by making a claim on the trip insurance that they purchased. Instead, they decided to give the trip to a couple who would appreciate the opportunity for a special getaway. Some special member couples were chosen and one was randomly drawn. The winning couple was very excited and noted it was the first time they had the opportunity to take a long trip together.
